the Hill Palace
(Museum) (30 mts drive 10 km away). The official residence
of the erstwhile Kochi Royal family was built in 1865.
This complex consists of 49 buildings in the traditional
style of Kerala Architechure. Today it is a full pledged
Archaeological Museum with thirteen galleries displayed
with oil paintings, 19th century paintings, murab,
manuscripts, inscriptions and coins from royal collection.

An obscure fishing village that became the first European
township in India. This town was shaped by the
Portuguese,

8 A.M. - Proceed to Guruvayur
– (3hrs drive) where the famous Sree Krishna
Temple is situated and is also one of the most sacred
and important pilgrim center of Kerala according to
belief, this temple was created by Guru - The preceptor
of the gods and Vayu - the god of winds. There are
about 100 elephants in the elephant camp owned by
this temple, a great sight to see.

Athirapally water falls (2 hrs drive)
A popular waterfall on the edge of the s\Sholayar
Forest Ranges, which falls down from
a height of 100 ft. The rocky terrain with thick green
forest in the back drop is a saintillating experience
to many a visitor.
Proceed to Cherai Beach
– an ideal beach for swimming where dolphins
are occasionally found – A Typical Kerala Village
with paddy fields and coconut groves nearby is an
added attraction.
Here a cruise through the village canals in a canoe
would be an experience worth a try.
